PortsToronto had two major issues and one incredible opportunity.
THE CHALLENGE
The PortsToronto’s public reputation was taking a hit due to expanding service at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.
The PortsToronto was turning 100, and had no idea how to celebrate it.
WHAT WE DID
We conceptualized, created and delivered Sail-In Cinema, a three-day festival of movies at Toronto’s Sugar Beach. We put a huge two-sided screen on a barge in Lake Ontario. The two-sided screen allowed people to watch on land or from their boats and enjoy water-themed movies chosen by members of the public. The first movie we screened was Jaws.
THE RESULT
The event received extensive media coverage, shifted public opinion, and became an annual event in Toronto’s summer calendar. Not only did we bring people to a new part of the city’s waterfront but attendees confirmed they didn’t even hear the airplanes taking off and landing at nearby Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Oh and we also won awards for the event. Proof of the pudding is in the eating.

We make you stand out.
It all begins with an idea. At Moja, we believe that no idea is too big (or small) to have a solution.
